Altum Angel Colour

Hi

A simple question, Can a Altum Angel change its colour at will? (well the black stripes bit anyway)

Reason i am asking is i have one and since moving to sand from black gravel a few days ago i have noticed that every now and again it starts to pulsate its black stipes. One second they are Vivid black and in a few seconds they are Silver, Then back to Vivid black again.

It only takes a few second to change and it does it about 5-6 times then stops.

Is this something to wory about?

i have one of these who does the same.............also my sister has 1 which does aswell.......i dont think its anything to worry about as ours seem happy, i beleive its a mood thing like bettas with stripes / firemouths changing colours / and pencil fish to name a few do the same type of thing....................dont qoute me just letting you know my ex. http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=136095

Nothing to worry about, many fish change colors.

there's nothing to worry about. fish adapt their colors to their new environment. it is probably finding the right camoflage for the new substrate. wether to use it's darker stripes or more lighter color.
