Altolamprologus sumbu dwarf shelldweller

Chalinochromis is a very good choice. When you say dwarf alto are you referring to the "sumbu"?

If so yes this would be a good choice for a 20 gallon, provided your talking a 20 long (30" x 12" x 12")

A group of 6-8 Chalinochromis to start. This will get you a few pairs.
A group of 4-6 Sumbu for the same purpose.

Would be wise to get these small and raise them together if you could.

What species of Chalinchromis were you thinking of getting???

brichardi is the one i had in mind,oh and my tank is 30g.

ophthalmotilapia boobs is it's name, this has to be the best looking fish i've seen in a while.

Ya know it is really getting depressing having to give you all this bad news.

Ya need to just get yourself a 6ft tank and fill it wilh Tangs my man.

Featherfins need lots of space...sorry

As for getting one of each of the Chalinochromis and sumbu...if you got them as fry (1") this would probably work.

Try this...Give me a list of all the tangs you would like to keep, how many of each you would like and I will let you know what will work in your 30 gallon

Your 30 gallon is a 3ft tank right?

Just for your info. It's pronounced BOW-OPS and yes they are beautiful fish, but attain a maximum length of 8"+

lol I SAID LIE TO ME :grr:

Actually,
Posting every 10 seconds is cool cause it's raising my post count AND helping out a member with their tank. We both win :D :D :D :p :p

do our post counts go up for replys?or just when we post new topics?

They go up when you post replies. Just have a look in the chat room forum.
