Alternative Powerhead Pumps In Juwel Aquariums?

Has anyone managed to fit different powerheads into the Juwel aquarium filter boxes?

My 600lph pump broke today on my Rio 125 and £25 is loads for only a 600lph pump...

Would anyone know, if this isn't possible, can I put a 1000lph pump into my rio 125 or will it not fit?

if its the compact going into a compact, then yes you can.

An upgrade to the 1000lph Juwel pump might work, this was part of the package deal upgrade that came with my Rio240 in spring 2010.

Late last year, I got caught out trying to go one step further, buying a Juwel Bioflow 1500 pump... Only to find that it will only fit the old Bioflow 6.0 filter chambers!

When my powerhead went I got an external. Works far better.

I have Tetra ex700 aswell on the tank. But I like to have both filters working as I get maximum flow
