A quick look in a any fish department of any pet store will reveal a large choice of chemicals to treat aquarium water. Things like:
pH Lock
pH up
pH down
Ammonia remover
Beneficial bio addative
Mineral addatives
All kinds of stuff to make the water clearer
And much much much more!

I avoid that stuff as much as possible. The best water for your fish is Clean tap water with a Gh above 80 but not higher than 300, and a kH above 50 but not higher than 200. Your ph will be very stable in those ranges with weekly 20% water changes unless you over populate the tank. If you do that you won't have pH problems or ammonia problems and your water will stay clear unless some decoration in the tank starts to break down and dissolve in the water. Just treat the tap water to remove any chlorines and cloromines get it to the temperature of the water in the tank and add the new water SLOWLY and you are good to go. BUT make sure you are cleaning the gravel with every water change. Better yet....don't use any gravel. It won't look as nice but the tank will be spotless and very easy clean.

If you are using pH up, pH down, or pH Lock and do not understand what pH crash is please ask us as these chemicals can be fatal to your fish.
