All The Fry Born Dead Or Deformed Why

i got 1 male blue platy this week he is pretty and i want more hehe.
congrats!

gets better !!
i was sat at the tank today and just happend to notice that the temp was at 76 and thought oh ill bump it up cos they will get cold, an hour later i sat for over an hour and caught over 20,someone had taken advantage of the 80 temp to drop, i still have two in the net going to go any min and at least 5 ( some that i rescued last week) more due any day,so i have moved all the ones ( about 80++) into the fry tank-still in the net,and cant wait for the next installment lol
moments like this make it all worth while :):):):):):):):)

Personaly I wouldent bother with liquifry no1 for livebearers it is really only used for fish that have just hatched from eggs. Liquifry no2 and no3 are the best for livebearer fry.

hi d&d yes it is liquifry no2, now i know how to use it, they are going mental when i put it in the tank

i am being serious when i say that when i tried to go to sleep i shut my eyes and all i could see were baby fish swimming towards me,think i need a holiday
i will add a pic when the batteries have charged as i am just sooo proud of the mums and babies :):):)

Yea its probably stress. I had numerous accounts of females having babies on the way home.
When you said some looked deformed, I am not sure what you mean by that, but inbreeding can cause that too.

hia thanx for all the replys, the babies are doing really well, as for the above, what i meant was, they were basically blobs with eyes ( balls) wasnt a pretty sight at all, then she went on to have clear blobs and lots of them, but im pleased to say she has settled in very well and is looking ok, i still have her under awatchful eye tho
shelagh xxx

The exact thing happened with one of my guppy females and an endler female.

I moved them into a breeding trap and the experience spooked them so much that they aborted the fry, which all died within minutes. For this reason I would never recommend moving pregnant females into breeding traps....
