I was doing searches for tips on controlling the ich in my tank and I was reading on this ufc-5 stuff mentioned above, I know nothing about the product but by reading what the company has to say about it and the reference to humans taking it @ $5 an oz. I'll bet that it is Colloidal Silver,found in any health food store, I myself take silver and had even wondered about treating the fish with it because it's perfectly safe,it's just a germ-bacteria destroyer (I'm a germ freak) But then I thought about how it would destroy my friendly bacteria too.....hmmmm it's interesting!

You could very well be correct!! It could also kill the good bacteria and that is why it is recommended to treat the fish OUTSIDE of the main tank!!!

Just a thought to ponder!!
