I woke up this morning to check on my fish, and when I looked in on my betta tank, all 3 females have white spot. :/
I have never had a Betta with white spot before, so I don't know how to treat it.
I did add salt to the water a few days ago as they have nipped fins from the shop when I bought them..
What should I do to treat them?
And are my Bristlenose plecos at risk too?

White spot is a highly contagious disease, which is actually caused by parasites which are only visible to the human eye in the later stages. Although your other fish might not appear infected, that doesn't mean that they're not. I'd recommend buying a white spot treatment from your LFS and treating the whole tank.

Will the treatment affect the BN Plecos?
I did a water change just then and turned the temperature up slightly too..

You can turn the temp up to 86f as this kills the free swimming form of the parasite. Check that all your tank mates will cope with higher temps first and also check they tolerate the salt you added ( for example Corey's hate salt and hill stream loaches can't tolerate heat at all) hope you manage to get rid of it. By the way can you remove all tank decor while you are treating them. As this gives less space for the free living parasite forms to sit and await their new host to swim by. sand/ gravel vacs will help to suck up any free living parasites before they attach to new hosts. This will be stressful so limit it to a small amount of time maybe once a week. 25% water changes daily will also help, don't forget to add the right amount of salt to each refill. Hope that helps x

And remove charcoal from your filter as it will remove any medications you add. You can always replace it with a new one when all white spot has gone for 3 weeks

yeh lily makes a point white pot can only be killed when its in it free swimming stage as while on the fish they are acc under the skin!! a good treatment i use for white spot is

waterlife protazien white spot and anti fungal - this treatment also does velvet and other funguses and it works on all fish now it says take out shell fish type creature ie shrimp clams but i never do and they all survive so its all good (dont hold me to the shellfish thing i may just be getting lucky id would remove valued shrimp etc) :)

Just get some whitspot meds and dos according to instructions. Mine had it and it cleared up with the meds
