Went to bed and hubby has just woke me again saying the fish are dead. Rushed down all that is alive is a gouramis.

They were swimming around an hour ago. What could have happened. All of a sudden?

What shall I do with Gouramis?

it must be the water oxygen or something????

I feel as if someone has poisoned them but why not Gouramis??

Fior a full tank of fish to dye looking at posioning like chemicals getting into the tank.Have you preformed a water change today.Been using any chemicals near the tank, or decorating. One fish left do an immediate water change, add some fresh black carbon and filter floss.Increase aeration.Need to look at water stats as well in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

How old are the baby platies.I would till you know what happened to the tank.Match ph and temp.

Both neons and platy's are days old no lfs bought last week not fry
I can't think straight I am too upset,

I know must be awful.
I think I wouldn risk putting the gourami in with the platys and tetras for now.
But match ph and temp.
Has anybody been around the tank.

I no its sounds awful but I'll get hom moved then I will do some tests.

I have had some of these fish since my first tank.

It's devastating

I know.
Have you got a clue now to maybe what happened.
Has the heater failed or filter.
Check everyting.

They were in a sliding tank so whether oxygen was the peoblem hubby did not want to wake m he did a water change but it must be chemical poisoning but they have been fine. I moved them about 3.30 today and went to bed early as I had been up since 3am. So has only just happened.

They were very big silver sharks and I think oxygen supply or perhaps some electrical
O2 as Gouramis can air breathe .
I have taken a chance putting hi m in other tank perhaps Gouramis kill ?/

I am feeling quite sick really

How long after the water change did they die?
Did he use a bucket that had been used for anything else, like the car or cleaning.

Nitrite has changed since they were put in so the filter has not coped.Ph is the same and ammonia is the same reading. However I do not know how long the fish were in there dead about an hour at the most.

Nothing will bring them back.

Guess I just want to sell the tank no point repairing it and I have ordered new stand which I wish I hadn't would be better to give this up.

I guess everyone will be ....................................

Ok, sorry for your losses. R.I.P.
Maybe keep the gourami with the platy and neons for now.
Think of doing a fishless cycle.
Good luck.

Sorry I was just so upset.

I did make sure the little tank filter was okay but perhaps it was too much.

I am repairing my big tank tommorrow thats why they were moved just overnight. I wish I had put them in buckets now.

Yes it must have been nitrite poisoning.

Balas do need alot more Oxygen and the poor clown loaches.

It was way overstocked as i said it was temporary they were all going back tommorrow.
