Algee Problems

right im getting algee problems atm the waters clear as day but im getting a bright green dust like covering on the glass some dark green stuff on the substrate that some times has little whisps flaping in what little current i have in the tank. and the tips of my vallis seem to die of but just the tips on the oldest leafs... i think it could be the fault of low co2 the kh is 130 and ph 7.8 giving me sod all c02. oh and i seem to be getting this white slime stuff in the water it looks like very fine dusty cobwebs but its slimy to the touch......... what fast growers can i can to combat this algee growth incase you havnt seen it this is my nano.

oh one more question atm im using the unsoften water from my garden tap. is it ok to use the house water that goes through a sodium style water softner.
 
First pointer: Too much sunlight on a tank is a likely cause of algae. Also, it prospers in conditions where there isn't enough light for the plants to be able to take up nutrients, whilst algae can.

This is a big no no. Sodium ions are exchanged for calcium and magnesium ions so kettles etc don't get furred up. Howerever plants do not like sodium and will suffer. They also need calcium and magnesium to grow.

good i thought the soft water could have been a problem im glad i havnt used it
