Algae

most of my tanks are free of algae but my 5 gal is always getting it back. i use an algae scrubber for glass tank and it works amazing, but the algae comes back. i dont believe in snails and i had an algae eater, but it died b/c it had nothing to eat (from my neighbor who was taking down his tank and the fish was 2 yrs old)

how do you get rid of it?

depends what algae it is, any pictures or description

the stuff i get is brown and not "fuzzy" and it grows on the plants. dont know how else to describe it

There can be numerous reasons for algae.

When you say you don't believe in snails, I can wholeheartedly assure you that they do exist.
