Algae Shrimps

I have 5 algae shrimps in one of my tanks i put a piece of cucumber in for my plec and the shrimps seem to have taken over and have been feeding of it for the last couple of hour. Will eating cucumber harm them in any way.

if they dont like it they wont eat it
