Hello,

New to the board.

I'm just restarting a 160l tank after a few years of it lying dormant.

I've installed a few ornaments (Wood, Rock) which are covered in what looks like green spot algae.

I seem to remember from my previous life that you could soak these in some chemical to get rid of the algae. I'm not talking about the stuff they sell to put in your tank, it's some common all garden chemical like Potassium Permanganate or something like that, I just can't remrmermebrebr what it actually was.

I don't fancy scrubbing the things as they're very nobbly and spiky and I'm bound to get cross.

If anyone can help I'd be grateful.
