I have pretty bad algae issues. I have a 60W light on my 30 gallon tank, and I use ferts and excel for the Carbon. I have neglected to add excel, so I assume thats the cause of the algae. Now, wanting to solve this issue, I have added a double dose of Excel (I read this causes no problems and should kill off some algae). Now I have some algae that was green turning red. Why? Is this red algae bad? Its appearing on 3 amazon sword leaves. Is this normal? Thanks
