In the past every two weeks or so, I would resort to removing all the anubias from my tank and tediously wipe each leaf in order to remove the algae which seems to thrive on the surface of every leaf. Then one day I was informed about a miniature cat fish, "Otocinclus" (about 4.5cm) and within a week my whole tank was pretty much cleaned of all the algae. I would sit and watch with delight as these little aquatic janitors would feast their way from leaf to leaf.
But then alas, one day they were gone. I atribute their disapearance to perhaps two things. Once all the algae was gone they had nothing left to feast on. Then I suspect, in their weakened state, my two botias got to them. Maybe if I had supplied them with some apropriate vegitable food they would still be alive.
