I've noticed that there has been a rapid delcine in the amount of algae in my tank. I fear this may be a bad sign as I have had two fish die and I couldn't determine the cause of death. One danio was feeding fine last night, looked healthy (was also my fave danio
) was swimming ok etc. On the other hand my corydoras ar spawning right now, so I presume conditions in there can't be that bad.
Another thing is, is that it was 2 out of 3 of my pearl danios that died within days of each other. They both had been in my tank for over a year. ( I have about four other types of danio).
My plants are in good nic just now (java fern, elodea and anubias). Shrimps are ok, snails too.
Can anyone advise on why algae can die off in tanks?
