I have honey gourami's(4),3 mollies, and 4 yo yo loach i would like to add a algae eating fish(some small fish, not pleco like...they get really big) because lately algae has started growing in the tank(mainly green spot algae). The tank is running for 3 months now.
Tank-
20 gallon(92 litres)
filters-undergravel filter,sponge filter
Tempertature-28 degrees celsius
Plants-live and plastic
weekly 30% water changes i use a gravel vacuum.

If you have lots of algae, I would consider otocinclus. They are nice active fish that are great at eating algae. The only drawback with them that I know is that they are hard to feed if you don't have algae. They seem to not take well to commercial foods. I end up moving mine around as they cmpletely remove algae from a tank so that they don't starve.

what about a bristlenose plec, they stay around 4" so they're not huge, they're much hardier than otto's and easier to get them taking commercial foods so you don't need to worry about them running out of algae.

if you want otto's remember they need to be kept in groups so get at least 3.

another alternative is a few amano shrimp.
