Hi

I have a 10 gallon tank and I am wondering which fish to go for.

I think the plec's would get too big, too quickly and its not fair to keep swopping them out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could get instead.

I have seen one or 2 catfish which will not get too large as adults, I think the spotted cory's were one of them.

All suggestions welcome ;)

I would deffinatly try and get hold of a small army of algae eating shrimp.

I have 3 in my 15G tank and they do a great job keeping the substrate and rocks clean, although they wont necessarily clean the sides of the tank.

Otos are good but like to be in a group and prefer plants. Mine only eat algae though and they are very little cute fish. I have never had shrimp but I have considered them for a little diversity.

Army of Shrimp - Sounds cool - are they readily available or will I need to hunt them out.

Not all LFS keep them. Ask for Algae eating shrimp or Amano shrimp. Maidenhead aquatics in Ascot keeps them.

My LFS sells ghost shrimp for 3/ $1.00!!!!! Best deal I've seen around! They also have zebra danios and other tetras for 8/$1.00 Its awesome! But yet there livebearers are preety expensive comparied to thier other fish WIERD....

Here...

1 dozen ghost shrimp for $1.00....I dont know why there so cheap here, But I am not complaining! :D

That's all very exciting, but I think the plane fair would bump the price of those up for Liliano just a little.

:p
I expect they would get concessionary fare if they shared a seat.
