Hi. So as some of you know I'm setting up a sorority.
I bought ten cories for the bottom but was wondering if a sucker loach or shrimp would be ok too add as well
Thanks in advance

the sucking loach could get a bit boisterous have a look at Ottos they stay small and are good little cleaners :)

Shrimp are hit or miss with bettas.  Sometimes it will work out nicely with the bettas leaving the shrimp alone.  Other times the shrimp turn into a treat.  If the tank is large enough you can possibly get a small pleco like a BN but they will also come with their own large bioload.    I don't recommend sucking loaches as the ones most often sold are really chinese algae eaters which get really large, are aggressive, and stop eating algae after a certain size.  Once the tank is established a bit, otocinclus catfish would work nicely to help control soft algaes.

i was going to say B/N as well didnt know the size of the tank though that should be fine though :)

i am right in thinking ancistrus is the latin name for them?

looking good :) im not sure if you can tell the sex of them when they are that size you will soon be able to tell though :)

thanks :)
do you know at what age you can sex them and how to?
thanks a lot

I think the males develop more bristles on their head and they are a lot longer than the females :)
