Good morning everyone (well it's morning in the UK)

2 weeks ago I added several rocks to my 80ltr freshwater tropical setup.
I have noticed that already the algae is starting to build up on them and as I am almost fully stocked I am limited as to which algae eating fish I can add.

Could you please recommend a placid community fish that grow to no more than 2" or 3" (I don't want to use any any algae removing chemicals)?

There are several fish and inverts you can add to your tank to help reduce the algae, but you'll never really be able to get anything to clean it completely. Best suggestions are add some live plants as they will compete with the algae for light and nutrients thus reducing it, some algae eating fish/inverts depending on the size of tank and stocking etc and a regular routine of algae scraping.

post your tank stats and stocking and we can help decide if there's any algae eaters suitable.

:)
