Edit: i will work on a better pic.

Looks nice mate, dark pic though, but i noticed your edit hehe..

Have you thought of adding a piece of bogwood, or are you wanting 100% plants?
Do you're corys get on with the plants, or do you constantly find floating plants because of them lol ;).

cant wait to show everyone mine. my mom is buying be a new cam since mine is a piece of ****. she want me to take pictures of the baby with it. little does she know i really just want to take pics of my fish ahahah!
I love the tank its awsome. i want a bowfront one day. I think you need a focus point. its nice just to even for me. nature is more unpredicatable and thats what i like to go for in planted tanks. but mine arnt perfect ither, none are.

Nice to see a new tank over here. A few questions, are your anubias rooted in the substrate or attached to wood? They prefer to have the rhizome exposed to the water.

Looks good so far, I agree that you could use some more hardscape, a larger piece of wood or some rocks, whatever tickles your fancy.

As far as fish are concerned, I have a bias towards kribs. Great fish under the right circumstances and your tank is a wonderful size for a true breeding pair, but I would fear for your corys since kribs can be vicious to bottom-dwellers when breeding.

I also agree that you should probably invest in more stem plants, including the sometimes ugly, but always useful Egeria species, especially Egeria najas.

I love your anubias, though. I have a feeling that a certain 20g high I possess is going to become an anubia tank.

Keep us posted.

lljdma06- ya, all 6 of my Anubias have there rhizhome exposed for the water to get to.

im still going to looking for a peice of wood, this really was my first plant attempt and im waiting for things to fill in.

also, can some help me with dry ferts from gregwatson.com....
like which ones and how to mix and dose.
yes i have read all the pinned articles.

i thought id add this http://showcase.aquatic-gardeners.org/2003...y=0&vol=2&id=66
this is what i was aiming for untell aquriam plants sent me some subs and im going to most likly get wild discus.

Your tank is looking really nice! :) Love the panda cories too!

I've had discus in the past but never wild caught. Is there a particular reason you want wild over captive bred?

Is eco-complete the only substrate you have? Or did you cover it with gravel?
- also about how thick is each layer? - im considering using eco-complete instead of laterite, but at a cost.

thanks to all, i dont know but the wild discus just look alot better. never was a fan of human made fish.

yes this is 100% eco-complete i also have 100% latrite in my 10 gallon and i found that latrite is better for

sword plants and other plants that have a deep root system. but the eco-complete looks better imo and over

all is better

how deep is your eco complete?

- wouldn't the pure laterite cause problems with algae blooms and such?

my green tempel i just notice today that it started to rott because it never rooted.
(this was the plant far left)
so i need to go visit the lfs any suggesting on plants that you think would look nice there.

my ecco-complete gives me about 2'' in the front and about 2.75'' in the back.

the latrite works great with 100%
