My albino cichlid is very timid and laid back just sits at the bottom most the time.

Ive noticed one of my cichlids harrass him before (the black one hes the crazy one). Well this morning i look at the albino and its tail is shredded and theres a bloody red line. I figure the black one got him in the night. If i put that non aggressive albino in the tank with my surviving blue ram just to recover do u think there would be any issue?

I think it would be fine. But make sure you monitor it and make sure you can be right there is anything happens to break it up.

Thanks for the reply =]

ok i have him quarantined in a bag in the 25 with the blue ram. And since the blue ram is going back today (=[) guess he'll have the whole tank to himself. =]

Yea, maybe you could exchange the ram for another albino one and just keep that tank as an all albino tank. :D

HEHE you tempt me with a GREAT idea. But i think i lucked out when i found that albino and ya have to special order em in. That would be sweet though. /me dreams of an albino cichlid tank. ;) Good idea raechal

Hehe. Or maybe since he is more docile you mix him with albino community fish? :dunno:

sounds great what type of community fish do u think he'd be ok with? any suggestions =]
I don't really know since I don't know the personality of your fish. You say he is very docile and calm? And he is not aggressive at all?

If so, I would maybe go for some albino cories, like 5 or so, maybe an albino bristlenose plec if you can find one. Maybe an albino snail or two? :dunno: I don't really know what your LFS has. Maybe take a trip down there and bring a pen and paper and write down all the albinos you see, then look them up online or ask here about them to get more information.

Uh-oh. Don't go mixing him with friendly community fish like cories - he may be calm compared to his cichlid friends, but he'll prove mighty aggressive when he's the king of the tank.
