Albino cories keep spawning but however,I thought I would post an update on 6-7 week old cories. Looking more and more like cories :D

Ahh look at those little barbels

(you should perhaps just add pics onto the initial thread so that we can easily follow progress  )

When your fry where newly hatched, did they have the red albino eyes? I just had a clutch of eggs hatch and they have black eyes and im trying to figure out if they are Albino C. aeneus or C. leucomelas. I know when C. aeneus spawn, you can get both albino and bronze.

Nice pics by the way, very helpful for me. Allows me to see the different stages so I can make sure mine are growing well.

I know I feel like I'm spamming the place by posting separate threads but I personally can't be bothered looking through the big threads. I just wanna see pics! But yeah one thread with all the pics would have been a good idea.

The fry have always had white/pinkish eyes. How many fry are you raising? I have lost a few on the way. I'm not sure if its down to natural selection or the conditions I have them in.

Right now I have 16, but they just hatched this past Saturday, so they are like 2 days old now. Im thinking mine arent C. Aeneus now...

Looking good and great work!
How many eggs did you have to start with and how many fry are still alive at the moment?
Keep it up!

Hmmm I think it was about 70-80. I'm just guestimating. Think I have about 50 now?

How big is your breeding pair? I did not get near that many eggs, well at least that I could find. They laid them in the big tank with all the other cories. At least all the eggs I could find hatched, thats a good start

What have you been feeding them since day 1 and to this point?

I have a normal sized female and two smaller males, one is slightly stunted I think but I bought him like that. Ever since a switched to sand a couple of months ago they have been spawning ever since. Probably about five or six times now :hyper:
After a the fry were about two days old I fed them on soaked tetramin baby powdered food. Then just started chucking in big chunks of food that I feed to the adults. They havn't had any live food though. I hope a good few make it.

The boyfriend and I have been setting up the babies new home. They fuzzy bit is a root with sand on it. I'm trying to grow little plantlets in this tank too.

Very nice. Your cories are coming along well. Mine are a week old today and are growing well too. Keep up the good work
