Just thought I'd share the new sighting at my local Walmart... There were 4 frogs and they were already bigger than a quarter. (Sorry, don't know the eviqualent UK comparison.) I've never kept frogs. Is this acceptable??

On the plus side, all the bettas looked okay. But the goldfish tanks were horrid; only one was bobbing along and the rest, well :rip:. I am writing a letter to send to the Walmart office about the goldfish, but I was wondering about people's views about the frogs being kept in cups.

As a temporary measure I don't see why not, aside from the fact that it gives people the wrong idea about how these frogs should be kept. They get to be the size of your fist eventually.

ya ive seen those little frogs everywhere they can live liek betta because if they want air they go to the top and get it i think, but they are a really cool pet i think, and it depnds some lfs's sell pygmy frogs that stay small but onlylive 2 years i think...

I was at petland yesterday and I was listening to the guy telling someone he thought the minimum tank size for a betta would be 1 litre. He said it as if he was a good person teaching people that anything under a litre is cruel. .Ugh.

Anyway, avoid Walmart is my suggestion.

Thanks for the info on the frogs. I guess if they are in the cups, then they won't be getting any food to grow any bigger. :|
