So last week I had to use my 1g quarantine tank for the first time when two of my guppies started exhibiting clamped fins. The water was treated with salt and aquarisol, but to no avail. I- I lost both of them. I still don't know what the cause was.
My question though, is that since I used the air stone from my 10g to aerate the QT tank, is it now safe for me to use it once again in my 10g?
I'm planning on replacing the air stone with a spare I had, but should I worry about the hose as well? Especially considering I have a frog, snail and shrimp in the 10g.
Am I just being paranoid? Or is there something I can do to ensure it isn't contaminated or still carrying trace elements of the meds?

Sterlise the airstone and tubing in boiing water and salt, then rinse well and let dry out.

Gotcha. I didn't expect the salt, but I'd assumed boiling would be the way to go. I was a little worried the boiling water might melt the hose, but now I know. ;)
Any worries about salt and my invertebrates?

It will soften the tubbing the boiling water but it will harden up again.
As long as you rinse well the salt shouldn't be a problem.
