Air Pumps And Features

Hey,

Following the setting up of the new tank, I wouldn't mind getting an air feature in it. I saw an interesting aztec head in my local pet store the other day, what would I need to make bubbles come out of the top of it? I assume I'd need an air pump, and to just direct the air flow upwards?

Might sound a stupid question, but I'm only new

Depending on the depth of your tank, a small pump and length of airline should do it... you might like to add a "T" piece and valve to control the airflow too.

I find that the air pump never matches what air flow I want for a tank feature. Rooster's idea of having a way to bleed off excess air usually works out great for that situation.
