Air Pump

Hi was wondering if i need a aip pump in my tank as i am going to put real plants in and what are the dis/advantages of having one. I have a 125 litre tank cheers

You dont need an air pump in your tank if your filter is creating sufficient surface disturbance,

Most people who add air pumps are for cosmetic purposes, it also can help when medicating for certain illnesses by increasing ariation in the tank.
