I read in a LFS that you shoulndt spray air freshener in the same room as the fish tank. Well I dont use air freshener but I do use oil candle burners and scented candles will this harm my fish?

If so is there any other way of freshening up a room without harm.

Thanks.

yes I could do that but I like the smell of opium and other nice smells from the iol burner.

Yes, it is still possible but not so bad as aerosols. Anything releasing oils and whatever it is into the air isnt so great. Have seen several customers with a lot of dead fish because of aerosols but id still be hesitant with others...

You could sprinkle a small amount of shake and vac on your carpet before hovering it.

I do this and have not had any issues with my tank, but when I set up my open top tank I will stop using the shake and vac.

I wouldn't worry, as long as you don't let anything get in the tank. I even use fly spray; I just cover the tanks with a towel or blanket.

If you have an external filter, cover that with a towel also.

Ugh, I've got that shake & vac song in my head now, with visions of livewire hoovering :/
