Does anyone in the UK use an air conditioner and would they recommend one? I'm thinking ahead to when it starts to warm up here and the 240l in the living room could get quite warm (30c+). So I'm thinking an air conditioner for that room could be a good idea. Would also make a good chill out room for the family when it does get hot.
@seangee am I right in thinking that you have one or two?

I guess its just a choice. For the 6-12 weeks that the temp gets above 30 my fish were always fine, and 3 of the tanks are in the warmest room in the house. I did get a couple of portable units last year, but TBH the main driver behind that was enforced working from home - it was more about me than the fish ;)
That warmest room in the house is also my office for the foreseeable future.

That's caused by computers and other electrical appliances.
Nope its caused by the fact that its a converted garage and not as well insulated as the rest of the house. Its also the coldest in Winter.

My room is rather warm during the summer, due to the evaporation of the heated tank water.
