Air Bladder

My betta one day last year had his air bladder full. I was worried that he was ill and going to die . The next morning he was happily swimming around being normal. It was shocking to me. He did get his air bladder full a lot after that day. After a month he never had them sense then. It was strange.

i think it's called swim bladder disorder. your betta probably over ate which somehow causes it.

Overeating, birth defect (though they are usually culled), and injury can all cause swim bladder disorders. I have one betta girl with it. She's cool though, she stares at me when I walk by. And she chills...vertically. Chillin' nonetheless!
