i have a 5g tank in the basement i use for a snail tank. it has some java moss, and varius plants. well i just went down to check on my betta fry and glared into the tank and saw this. it was like a little fish worm thing. i can see its eyes, and its got a snake like body. it just wiggles and shoots all around the tank like its retarted. theres no way it can be a fish. it almost looks matalic, its like shiny metal looking. its the only one in there. about a week ago i gave the tank a little shot of brineshrimp to see if the snails would eat it, could it have came from this?. theres no way i can get a pict of it. but its defanitly atracted to light, it swimms to the top when i turn on the light. o yea and its only like a centimeter long.

any ideas?

it swam like a sea horse if that helps any. it was grey with a matalic look. and had huge eyes.

Sounds like a Planaria to me...

They come in all colours but usually grey/brown....if there is only one I would not worry about it...just remove the little guy...
Planaria are generally harmless except to eggs and possibly newly hatched fry

Good news is Betta's like to eat them ;) ;)

no, the eyes were like 10 times bigger than that. and it swam like a sea horse other than a flatworm
