I have had 2 Oscars for 2 months now the have on the whole been very close always swimming together. they are now aprox 4.5" long and look very healthy. The water is ok, Temp bang on 80F, and they have been eating a good and mixed diet, 2 types of pellets prawns, peas, worms etc.
The larger of the 2 by about 1/4" has suddenly decided to attack everything in the 90G tank .. the plants, the Plec (which is not to bothered but hides a bit more in a tube), the red-tailed black shark, and the second Oscar pinning him in the corner. He has taken some bites out of him ( a few scales missing and a few black bruise like marks on him).. The fish I have mentioned are the only inhabitants of the tank apart from 2 crabs which tend to keep themselves to themselves.. The second Oscar is clearly trying to submit to the larger one by changing a light colour and kind of laying on its side.. It also tries to keep with the one that is attacking it like it has been for the last 2 months.. Could I have 2 males that have decided not to get on, would they act like this at the age they are? (4.5”)

Thanks for the info LoveMyOscar I have tried moving everything around in the tank.. After 48 hours they kind of made up again but the bigger Oscar knows he is boss now.. He has stopped biting the other one which is a relief (the wounds appear to be healing quickly too)
He chases and goes to attack now, but stops at the last minute and just mouths the smaller fish who submits by lying on his side and changing a light colour.
Sometimes they swim together as if nothing happened, other times the smaller one is chased into a hiding place which I made when rearranging the tank.
I will be keeping a close eye on them for a while
