agressive mollies

i've got 4 black mollies and 2 dwarf gouramis, and it appears one or two of the black mollies nips quite frequently at the big buys. Is this normal? He doesn't seem to be fighting back -just moves away. But I don't think they're sick either.

mollys are userally great communitie fish but they do have their limits. i too once had mollys and they dont appriciate bigger fish for sum reason lol i dont get it either, but theres userally a reason behind it. i can help u if u answer a few questions.

>is it a male or female molly doin the nippings?
>if its a male, have the gouromis been messin with the female mollys?
>have the big fissh been resently released into the tank?

its defenately a territorial thing combind with molly instink, i would remove the nipper and place him in a another tank for about a week, then reintroduce him into ur tank, this userally works.
