Ever since I put my pregnant Molly into a breeding trap she has turned aggressive and attacks the other fish. In fact - one fish has died from her attacks. We heard that if you move the stuff around in the tank, they stop being so aggressive so we did that and it hasn't stopped her.

Short of removing her from the tank, any suggestions on how to curb her behaviour?

Are you sure hte other fish died from her behaviour? What is your water stats? How big si the tank? How many fish and what kind are there? How long has the tank been set up? Was she pregnant? Is that why you put her in the trap? Usually a Trap makes mollies slighly mroe aggressive, becasue they are in a confined space and freak out.

I also have an aggressive molly.....she is a big black molly and is a right cow to the other 2 mollies in the tank.....at feeding time she barges them out of the way...wouldnt mind but while she is doing this....the other fish in the tank are eating all the food, and I am sure she misses out on most of the food....!

I think she is just the boss...she has not harmed the other 2 mollies....just gives them a warning.......'I'm the mama in here' :D

hmm.
my mollies have never done that.
unless i havent noticed it.
but i used to have 2 mollies but now i just have 1.
she seems fine :) and healthy.

I've seen that kind of attitude by a molly in the past but no harm ever came of it in my tank so I did nothing. Sorry I can't be more help.

i had 3 mollies do that they are agressive, poking chasing you name it. i gave the all to my lfs for credit and baught balloon mollies lol.

The tank is 90 litres, we have (or had 6 fish - three Platies and three mollies - one male for each species until the male mollie died). the ph is 7 and we do a 1/6 water change each week. the tank was set up for a month before we got any fish and it has now been set up for about three months. We also have at least 7 baby fish - 5 are older and there are about 3 newer babies that I can see at least.

Yeah she was pregnant but we took her out of the trap by the end of the day as her and the male were getting distressed. After that, she attacked the male and he ended up with a bald spot right where she kept headbutting him. We noticed the male getting listless but before we could do anything about it, he died.

She now chases all the other fish especially during feeding time and gobbles up so much of the food before the others can get them.
