Aggressive Gourami's

hi, i have a couple of honey gouramis one male the other female, the male is showing aggressive behaviour towards the female, at least i think its aggression or is this his way of being amorous towards her?. any suggestions will be gratefuly received. thanks

If your tank is big enough, you can add another female to spread his agression out.

Their mating behavior involves them building a bubble nest, so if you have a bunch of bubbles in one corner, then it is possible he is considering mating.

hi, i have a 20 with 2 gourami, 4 green tiger barbs, 2 leopard leaf fish, 1 good size plec. would another female gourami be ok?. thanks

I don't think so, you are pretty heavily stocked right now. Read the post on agressive RTBS, there is some good advice on how to decorate the tank for agressive fish.
