does any body know the age of a dog when it stops growing

It really vairies, but what most people say is 18 months. That dosn't mean they stop being puppyish (Golden Retriever's- puppys for 8 years ) they are just fully grown

Growing physically depends on the breed. For example, Rotties and Shepherds stop getting taller and longer between 18 and 24 months. They continue to broaden and fill in up to 3 years. Mentally however depends not on the breed but on individual dog and whether it is male or female. I have a 3 year old female GSD much more mature than my 3 year old male. Of course I have a 4 month old male GSD that I think is more mature than the 3 year old male sometimes!!
