Aga 2006 Contest

Judges comments are up!

Noticed that and had fun reading them. Some comments are a bit off, but this competition is extremely suggestive, and what I may like may not be what they like. I did, however, tend to agree with them regarding fauna stocking. Some of the contestants went a bit overboard, especially in the nano section I just looked through. 8 white clouds in a 2g  I know about and often enjoy the fact that I can overstock planted tanks, but that was ridiculous. Some pretty poor choices were made considering the availability of new micro rasbora species.

:good: Moody, your nano was one of the loveliest there and your tank, Justin, is impressive. Congratulations. Maybe one year, I'll enter, when I can grow plants. But not now.

Moody:
Some very positive comments from the judges on you nano tank ..... Congratulations

A great pity that your tank was the only UK entry !
However it's given me the inspiration I need to plan on my own entry for next year .... not even contemplating chasing a ribbon (the competition is just too good), but I'll just be happy to get a tank entered and get some comments from the judges.

Al, Go for it :flex:

I will erg and encourage anyone to have ago, it doesn't cost much and can only raise the profile of UK aquascaping scene.

I loved the tanks, they make mine look bare! Spent ages looking at them all and now have lans to change one of the tanks around. It really has inspired me and give me some ideas. :)

Just out of interest does anyone know if there is a website for the ADA contest showing all the entries? The MAC website just has the first few.

I've found 2 best of shows so far - do they have one for each section? I thought BIS was for the entire entry no matter what size tank?

The reason there were two Best of Shows is because there were four judges and they were split evenly down the middle. They were both great 'scapes!
