After All They Have Been Thru Now Whitespot :(

I didn't half dose and my loaches are fine.

My CL's got whitespot i treated with heat and API Aquarium salt at half the doseage as salts and loaches dont really go well. Mine Came through it really well and its never returned. took around 21 days at half dose to get rid of it completely.

When the spots fall off give the gravel a good Vacumn to try get the parasites out the tank before they become free swimming.

ive added interpet anti whitespot, put the air pump of bo`s tank on it ( tetratec 300) and the temp is up to 80,
its only that one loach that has it, so hopefully ( i know thats a big ask) no one else will suffer

ill let you know how it goes, thankyou all for the advice so far
really kicking myself for ever buying those mollies, treating for columaris ( low temp and meds) prob stressed the poor little loaches out )
i really dont think im cut out for community fish

how long should it take b4 i see the spots starting to drop off, and also when do i start to drop the temp back to norm,

everyone in the tank is still looking well and fit, but that loach still has spots tho i dont think he has more

Take a day or two for the spots to fall off @ 80c, keep the temp up during the medication period. The higher the temp the quicker the spots fall off. Once the course is finished and the spots have gone and not re-appeared, drop the temp back down slowly.

Aww Poor thing! I really hope you get rid of it!!

I noticed my preggy Molly has a white and a black spot on his head! Thought it could be white spot so treated it anyway... Dont know what the black spot is tho?? Thats all really good advice tho Shella. Hope it works for you, let us know x

actually most of my tank died from it hun

god knows what it was, the 3rd clown loach showed spots but cleared fast, but im not restocking
if i were u if u havent already ask wilder what to do, she is a gem and will help as far as she can ( if u provide a photo its much easier)

I had to do the second treatment on mine and that was 4 days after the first treatment

Be carefull of ornaments though, I have a cave which was stained blue

tanks with clears sillicone too
thankfully mine was black, but anything with methelyne blue is gonna stain
