african knife fish.....bottom feeder?

i just bought a african knife fish and a oscar today form my lfs...... and do african knife fish bottom feed or do they go to the surface to get food?

They go to the surface to get food. During the day they wil be Sleeeping and not active. Most peoples Start to go out during the day more butMoonlights are nice for these guys.
