here are the electric blue and ruby red babies after 2 weeks in the 33.

Those are really great. The ruby red ones really stand out.

The pic may be a little bit blurry, but I think the red you are seeing is tiny pieces of gravel bcs the fish are still just silver with brown stripes, except for the 3 yellow labs.

The red spots are gravel that I missed when I was stripping the tank.

There are approximately 100 babies and they are about 1.25 cm big now.

I have been feeding them frozen baby brine shrimp and "sera" mikropan 2-3 times a day, a little at a time....soon I hope to be hatching live brine shrimp, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

lol those are pretty cool. I thought you really ment African Fries like French Fries lol I wasn't sure. Prettyc ool picture, looks like fun breeding egg layers..

Actually they are mouth brooders.....some cichlids are layers, like my brichardi, but haps and mbuna are mouthbrooders.

I don't get it? They lay eggs but keep it in their mouths and when they hatch they still keep it in? I;m confused..

They grow so quick!! The biggest of my 2 months old swordtail frys r only 1.5cm long!

Let's not forget that they grow to about 20 times the size of a sword though!
They have to grow faster!
