Phillip, I'd say get your tank cycled before getting any fish, or frog for that matter, lots have given you advice in beginer about this.

ADF's get to about an inch nose to vent, ACF's I have no idea proberly about 5 inch's nose to vent.

I wish mine would feed from my hand.

i keep my ADF in a 1g tank that stays at a pretty steady 75 F... without a heater. you do need a lid. i find it hard to feed my froggie though, as he freaks out when i try to dangle the bloodworm in front of him (using a turkey baster)... but with persistence, he'll take a few.
