im planning on getting discus, but they dont get along with african cichlids i heard, and my friend just got a tank with some guppies, some neon tetras, and 2 of those black sharks with red fins. and i was wondering if i can give them to him or not, or if theyd fight and kill each other. we wouldnt want that. so does anyone know??

very confusing....

so you're getting discus and have african's already??? You're wondering if you can give your African's to your friend who has a community tank?

In a nutshell, No. Way to aggressive for community fish. Would torture them to death....literally.

but i dunno what else to do with em...

Do you know what species of cichlids you have? If not, can you post pics so we can ID. Also, how large are they? Many african cichlids (especially mbuna) are fairly peaceful as juveniles, but become aggressive once they reach sexual maturity. How long have they all been living together "peacefully"?
