My friend has a tank full of guppies. He has one guppy who is really really pregnant, and she had 1 baby about 3 days ago. She is still huge, but it doesn't seem like she can deliver the rest of the babies. She seems like she's having a hard time. She's been hanging out in one corner of the tank and appears distressed, although she still comes out to eat and swim around. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Did he put her in a breeder net? Sometimes that can stress the fish out enough so that they abort their babies early resulting in no live fry or withold from giving birth. If he has one, I'd recommend he put her in a hospital/birthing tank. Doesn't have to be big, just put some cover/plants in it for her and a little filter, heater. No gravel is necessary. This way, she will not be stressed out by other fish and will not have to exert herself competing when it comes to feeding time. A little aquarium salt might do her good too.
Also, are you sure she only had 1 baby? Could any be hiding or possibly have been eaten? My mama guppy looked fat after she gave birth to about 20 fry. It went away after a few days to a week.
