Well, still haven't received him yet. But I got the live plants in today. They were shipped the same day, plants from California and him from Florida. Supposed to have both been here same day but no updates at all on poor Aedan. I saved his eBay pictures on my computer. Not sure if I can get them on my tablet. I'll do that at lunch if I can. But here is a picture of his newly planted 5.5 gallon tank! I got too much dwarf sag, the corkscrew vals' roots aren't long enough to plant, and then the wisteria. All of those are floating. I have added 5 flourish root tabs so hope that will suffice!! Here is a pic!

I'm pretty sure you can plant the val anyway as long as you keep the crown above the substrate. The roots will soon grow. Wisteria are stem plants so the should grow fine too.

The val didn't want to stay in the sand. Otherwise it would be planted. Lol. I may plant a few stems of the wisteria but I wanted it for floating. The place I to these from didn't have water sprite so settled for the wisteria.
