okay i have a question i have been advised about my stocking before but not this perticualy question how many fish can u add at one time to a tank already cycled

just recently moved my fish over to there new tank 2 torpedo and 4 angels

I'm looking at getting 6 more torpedos 12 cory's 1 plec and maybe some more now how many fish can i add at one time

would 6 be okay i was thinking 3 each week but if 6 a week or can i add more so not to over load or stall the bacteria in the filter?

any advice helpful :D

I believe the received wisdom is a maximum of a 50% increase in bioload.

You can't really say it in terms of extra fish - if you had a tank with 2 guppies, it would not be OK to add a full grown oscar. It would be ok to add another guppy or 2 microrasbora. Did I make sense there?

If the filter can cope with the current load then you should be able to do all your red lines and plec in one go, then all your corys say a week later. Just monitor the water the following day after adding fish. Bacteria, once established, grows very fast and it wont be long until your filter is up to speed.

okay yes i understood that "the_lock_man" i shall get the torpedoes this friday then if all is gd :) i shall also have a look for a plec still unsure on them so allot of research to do :) saw a nice plec in a shop for £30 loved it but tbh i don't wan a spend that money on something that i may kill :S maybe get it when the tank is more established :D
