Hi
some might already know i have wired some 36w compact t5's up and was waiting for my CO2, i now have the regulator. I was wondering when to add these? I dont have everything yet, no lightbulbs or actual gas just empty CO2 tank, i just wanted to check because i presume doing it in the wrong order could mean algae?

I also have a new filter, i think its too big but will use a spraybar to reduce agitation (fluval 403) it should be better than my 103.

I'm planning on re-scaping my tank is it best to take the fish out and do all of the above in one go? or bit by bit?

thanks
:)

take a peep at the pinned topics for the proper steps to an algae free tank :p

anyways it is best to get everything right at step one. Make sure you have everything ready before you begin

If you haven't put in substrate yet I would highly reccomend getting flourite, or Eco-complete. My tank has flourite in it. It's my first experience with it and its definitely worth it in my opinion.

Put the plants in, then ferts if you are using them. Add the lights and co2 at the same time or you'll get tons of algae. I don't know how long between plants and lights you sould wait as I haven't started from scratch... I upgraded on an established tank.
