Advice On Fish

Hi m still new o the fish world and hopefully picking my new tank up this week the problem is I don't really no what fish to get as I want to try and get a tank where my fish all get on and not like the fish a family member give me that killed my other fish think they where cichlids. He told me they would be great in my tank but they killed my catfish, guppies etc
At the moment I only have a 2fish left one is a big Pleco but am not sure what the other one is

How big will the tank be? do you know what type of plec? its most likely a Common which and grown 18"+ so unless its a 5x2x2 or bigger it would be best to look at rehoming it and going for a smaller plec maybe like a Bristlenose

The tank is a jewel trigon 350 not sure what plec it is but he's about 11" now.

Think I would like more of a community tank

If you can i think you would be best of trying to rehome it, they can get to about 2".
In a tank that size i would go for
6 Angelfish or Festivum
3 Apistogramma 1 male 2 females
2 Keyholes or Rams
1 Plec maybe a Bristlenose or something else that only gets to around the 6" mark, or maybe a Whiptail
20 Corys or 10 Hoplo catfish
20 Tetra needs to be something big enough not to get eaten but not massive maybe Lemon tetra
20 Hatchets
