Just to let you know that Fish is in the big fish heaven in the sky

We found him vertical in one of our plants so fished him out straight away.

Our LFS said not to worry as this can sometimes happen with guppies and that nothing we did with water changes, adding cycle and water prep etc would have casued his demise.

Has advised us to leave it a week before replacing him just so we can monitor the rest of the fish to make sure there are no other issues.

Will post up some photos shortly - off to do the weeks ironing!

Sorry to hear of your loss!!
Much as it's sad when your fish die, I wouldn't worry too much as casualties are expected at this early time. I had the same myself with Platy's, all of mine died, yet the other fish in the tank have been fine.

Hi Amy et al!

Sorry it has been so long since I gave you an update on our fish!

Things are getting a little interesting to say the least.

We currently have

4 x Long Finned White Cloud Minnows
1 x Stunning Siamese Fighting Fish (he really is!)
2 x Pygmy cory
2 x Endler Guppies

That's our lot until space is made naturally.

Anyway, have just spent the last 20 minutes watching two of the minnows in what I assume can only be described as a mating dance. The were swimming parallel to each other and both had all their fins extended whilst they were going up and down. Beautiful to watch.

Only noticed it today so think it may have only started today. What do we need to look out for??

Also we think our tiger snails have laid eggs which our LFS thought was unusual....
