I have 2 (small) goldfish.
I do a water change every week and add non-iodised salt to the water I add (1/4 cup per 50L).
I was advised to do this by my aquarium - they said the salt acts as a kind of tonic. They also said that if my fish are looking a bit flat, I could add some salt to the tank. I did this last week (only added a tiny amount) and my fish perked up.
I just wanted to get peoples' thoughts on this. Between water changes is it ok to add a bit of salt? What dosage do you think is appropriate?
When I do water changes I add the other things, like the blue crystals, de-chlorinator, Cycle etc...
Thanks
