Adding New Fish?

I understand that it is a good idea to quarintine new fish for a while but do any of you treat them w/ meds to kill off any diseases they COULD have? Especially if you have QTed before and still had outbreak of something.

Just wondering before I get more fish.

There are lots of people who treat with medications during quarantine but I am not one of them. This is a point that can definitely produce some heated debate as to the best course of action. I don't treat because I would not know what to treat for. The fish are not showing any sign of disease or they would not be in my tank to start with.

I have read at other sites where people have used Maracyn 1 & 2 to cover most issues. I would rather not unless there are signs of a problem but I know issues still can arise even after QT.

Just trying to consider all ideas. Maybe others have had less occurance of problems by doing this. Anyone else?
