hi

i own a 35 litre planted tank which curruntly stocks

1 male betta
5 glowlight tetras
3 zebra nerite snails

i was thinking about adding maybe 3-5 golden wcmm's, or blue lamp eyes or some type of small red fish to add a bit of contrast in colour.

i was thinking about boras briggiate but will the betta eat them. or cherry barbs but they might nip the fins. any other ideas?

or is my tank already overstocked?

I'd say your pretty much at full stocking as it is only a 9G tank,

only thing that I would possibly add would be a few cherry shrimp or similar

I think the tank will get over stocked.
I put a platty with a Betta and it was fine.

I put a platty with a Betta and it was fine, you could get the tetras.
Some people have platys which are fine with bettas but others will have platies which will have been torn apart by the betta. It really depends on the individual personality of the betta. If the betta is doing fine with the glowlights then the platy should pose no problems, as long as it isn't the same colour as the betta. But the tank is already fully stocked so platys are a no. I'd go for some cherry or snowball shrimp and they will breed too and eat any algae.
